The Humura Association firmly believes that the future of humanity depends on preserving the memory of mass atrocities as much as it can prevent them from happening again. It is in this spirit that we propose to build a permanent place of memory in the National Capital Region of Canada commemorating the victims of the Tutsi genocide in Rwanda.

This monument will serve as a powerful symbol of Canadian values of democracy and human rights, a cherished place of meditation and remembrance, as a meaningful tribute to the victims and a solid educational tool for present and future generations.
