Humura Association is Canadian non-for-profit organization created in 2001 by survivors of the Tutsi genocide of 1994 in Rwanda who reside in the Ottawa-Gatineau Region.

Our vision

Contribute to building a world free of genocide and other crimes against humanity through memory keeping, education, awareness raising, and advocacy.

Our mission

Memory: Keep and honour the memory of the victims of the Tutsi genocide.

Justice: Fight against impunity through denunciation of those responsible for genocide residing in Canada.

Life: Create a framework for exchange, support and mutual aid between genocide survivors in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.
